Job Description
Mattson Resources is looking for a Project Engineer for an innovative and growing company.
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, directing, executing, and tracking projects and processes for safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance. Manages risk to achieve strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and productivity. The role will be built upon the use of solid engineering fundamentals and continuous improvement to support Operations, Maintenance, and IT Departments to obtain maximum performance from assets and equipment with minimized downtime and costs.

- Responsibilities may include preparing proposals and reports, scheduling and managing vendors, collaborating and delegating work between departments, and ensuring successful and sustainable project completion.
- Assist with management of the computerized maintenance management system, including work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, inventory and non-inventoried parts, supplies, and services
- Coordinates the required equipment needs of the client and/or operational departments.
- develops and executes a plan to eliminate or reduce losses through root cause analysis.
- design relevant project specifications and identify opportunities to assist with the management of current processes, parts, materials, and supplies inventory, purchasing, cost accounting, and preparation of reports and applicable documentation.
- builds up a preventive and predictive maintenance schedule with detailed work instructions for all equipment to reduce damages and downtime on all machinery and recommends inventory to ensure that inventory levels are minimized while still ensuring that necessary and anticipated spare parts are always immediately available.
- Must be comfortable giving presentations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years technical experience
- Additional studies in project management, business, or related is considered an advantage.
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Practical knowledge of general safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Advanced Proficiency and Computer skills for MS Office suite.
- Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles including control circuits and programmable controllers.
- Ability to understand and work from mechanical drawings and electrical drawing/schematics.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Proficiency and Computer skills for SQL, Visual Basic and other database systems or programming language.
