Key Responsibilities
- Handle insurance defense cases from inception through resolution
- Manage cases through trial and arbitration proceedings
- Draft persuasive legal documents including law and motion filings
- Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and participate in trial proceedings
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Start with a manageable caseload and gradually develop independence
- Collaborate with partners and team members in a collegial environment
Essential Qualifications
Required:
- 3-6 years of insurance defense experience
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- Strong motivation to become a trial attorney
- Willingness to handle cases through trial and arbitration
- Excellent persuasive legal writing skills
- Prior experience with some level of case management responsibility
Preferred:
- Trial experience or demonstrated trial readiness
- Experience with depositions and motion practice
- Proven track record in insurance defense matters
