Mattson Resources is partnering with an expanding company in the Maritime sector to find an Automation Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. 

As an Automation Engineer, you'll collaborate with technology vendors, consultants, IT teams, and operational staff to troubleshoot, identify improvement opportunities, and support the integrated technologies that drive our world-class automated operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and optimize automated systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues of varying complexity to ensure smooth operations
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to recommend improvements and drive operational efficiency
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions to technical challenges
  • Collaborate with IT, vendors, and consultants to implement and support integrated technologies

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Professional experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities, with the capability to resolve basic to moderate complexity issues
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate data and determine actionable insights
  • Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement
  • General understanding of networks, servers, and IT infrastructure (devices, operating systems, etc.)
  • Knowledge of computer programming languages and software development practices
  • Familiarity with data structures, system interactions, and interfaces
  • Basic understanding of corporate security protocols, legal regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with vendor software integration
  • Quick learner with a flexible approach to new technologies and challenges
