Construction Administration Director - 20895
Job Description
Location:Â Dallas / MetroÂ
Compensation:
- Licensed: $95,000 – $115,000 base + $18K target bonus
- Unlicensed: $90,000 – $110,000 base + $17K target bonus
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Central

 Job Description:
As our Construction Administration Director, you will take the lead on all construction-phase activities, ensuring that our designs are executed with precision and our quality standards are upheld from groundbreaking to project closeout. Proven experience in luxury home building, master-planned communities, custom residential, and boutique commercial developments. You will serve as a critical link between the design team, clients, and contractors—guiding communication, site strategy, and field documentation. Responsibilities
- Lead firmwide construction administration services and act as the primary point of contact for field execution
- Establish and implement standard CA protocols, documentation tools, and QA/QC practices
- Represent the firm on job sites—serving as an advocate for design fidelity and client interests
- Conduct or delegate site visits, construction progress meetings, and milestone observations
- Monitor construction activities for alignment with contract documents and design intent
- Identify deviations or site issues early and communicate with clarity and urgency
- Coordinate RFI responses, submittal reviews, and contractor inquiries
- Maintain consistency and transparency using internal systems such as OneNote, checklists, and logs
- Observe key project stages (e.g., foundation, framing, weather barriers, interior finishes) and document findings
- Ensure adherence to AIA contract standards (e.g., A201), Division 01 requirements, and applicable building codes
- Encourage a collaborative, observation-based field presence that promotes continuous feedback and resolution
- Escalate substantial construction deviations and assist in preparing design clarifications or revisions

- 10+ years of experience in construction administration or related fieldwork, particularly in high-end residential or boutique commercial projects
- Professional degree in Architecture or related discipline (BArch or MArch preferred)
- Architectural licensure is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- PMP certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of AIA contract documents, especially A201 and Division 01 specifications, and local building regulations
- Proven ability to build trust and lead communication among clients, builders, and internal design teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive and organized approach to fieldwork
- Experience using construction tracking tools such as OneNote, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SketchUp preferred
