Job Description
Fortune 500 company headquartered in Southern California is looking for their next Chief Labor Strategist.
Hybrid role that offers a competitive base salary, bonus, LTI, and excellent benefits.
This is a senior Labor Relations leadership position for a Lead Negotiator role, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution. The position primarily focuses on serving as the company's chief negotiator for collective bargaining agreements while managing all aspects of union relationships.
Key responsibilities include developing labor relations strategy, leading contract negotiations, providing guidance on complex labor matters, creating company-wide policies, managing grievances, and delivering training programs. This hybrid role also involves protecting sensitive company data and maintaining high standards of security compliance. The ideal candidate should excel at both building collaborative relationships with union leaders and implementing strategic labor initiatives across the organization.

- Diverse background in people management and team leadership capabilities.
- Experience interacting with the National Labor Relations Board.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical ability to provide Labor Relations advice within a business context.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of assignments, work quickly and effectively under pressure, and prioritize activities and risk.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team including ability to promote positive cooperation within the legal team, with other Company personnel, and with outside counsel.
Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience in unionized environments with multiple bargaining units and a working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Must have experience sitting first seat in labor negotiations.
