Mechanical Engineer responsibilities:
- Designing custom machinery in SolidWorks with quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Create 3D models and fabrication drawings for custom machinery including frames, tanks, piping, exhaust systems, automated hoists, and mechanisms with pneumatic and/or electric actuators.
- Collaborate with Electrical/Controls Engineering
- Communicate with Project Management, Sales, and Purchasing to ensure that the Fabrication and Assembly departments have the tools, materials, and information to successfully build a custom system/machinery to each client’s unique order and specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years’ experience designing and detailing machinery within manufacturing, industrial heavy machinery, or related industry
- Proficiency in SolidWorks/simulation
- Proficiency in creating engineering drawings and BOMs
- Ability to oversee system installation and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions
