The company’s mission is to provide safe, reliable, retail hydrogen to customers of fuel cell electric vehicles to foster the widespread adoption of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. 
They have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer who will provide expertise on complex mechanical engineering solutions and act as a professional resource for the team.
Job Description:
  • Design hydrogen-related equipment systems composed of:
    • Motors and hydraulics
    • Instrumentation
    • Valves
    • Piping
    • Dispensers
    • Fittings
    • Welding
    • 15,000 psi gaseous hydrogen
  • Fully understands delivered OEM equipment to support the company’s ongoing operations and design improvement.
  • Works with the team to develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, Program for Facility Development.
  • Writes test plans to validate design improvements.
  • Select appropriate instrumentation to support design.
  • Maintain bill of materials for equipment.
  • Maintain recommended spare parts lists for all deployed equipment.
  • Supports ongoing station reliability improvements.
  • Develops necessary documentation.
  • Assesses Material Selection Compatibility.
  • Analyzes data to support ongoing improvements.
  • Supports Hazard and Operability Studies or other vulnerability analysis.
DESIRED SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE:
    • 7 + years in Mechanical Engineering including:  
    • Process Flow Design.
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagram and valving design.
    • Instrumentation selection.
    • DC and AC equipment design (5-24VDC) and AC (110-480VAC).
    • Understands flow and pipe sizing.
    • Understands thermal effects on design.
    • Experience with liquid hydrogen or cryogenic liquids preferred.
    • Familiarization with Safety Integrated Level system design.
    • Gaseous refueling systems design experience preferred.
    • Material compatibility experience preferred.
  • Field Experience preferred.
  • Familiarization with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Familiarization with design to codes and standards
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Ability to work with multiple personalities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
