Job Description
Fortune 500 company headquartered in Southern California is looking for their next Plant Accounting Manager. You'll lead a team specializing in Fixed Asset Accounting while ensuring proper capital cost recovery.

Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close entries and account reconciliations, investigating significant variances
- Prepare internal Financial Statements and coordinate variance research
- Maintain internal control documentation and coordinate remediation of identified weaknesses
- Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements
- Direct Fixed Asset System processes, including asset creation, retirement, depreciation, and system maintenance
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency across Accounting operations
- Coordinate budget preparation, establish controls, and manage financial forecasting
- Prepare procurement reports while fostering a cost-savings culture
- Support project proposals for process improvements
- Engage with external auditors and assist with finance and audit committee materials
- Ensure protection of physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets
Minimum Qualifications
- Five+ years of supervisory experience in accounting and/or finance
- Experience interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Economics or related field
- Experience with PowerPlan or similar Fixed Asset Accounting software
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience with Alteryx
