This position supervises one or more production unit/teams to meet all expectations including work order deadlines, labor efficiencies, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Plans and supervises day to day operations of assigned production teams.
  • Develops and executes production schedules and labor allocations. Manages production team standards for the job performance, cost control, waste reduction, quality safety, and on-time delivery.
  • Ensures adequate planning and resources for all deadlines, inventory, production and quality standards.
  • Implements tactical changes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and increase quality of product.
  • Mentors and coaches’ employees to support career development, provide training opportunities, and support individual and team growth.
  • Utilizes manufacturing best practices tools including lean principles, total quality management, and six sigma.

Skills and Experience:
• 8+ years’ experience in contract electronics manufacturing and 2-4 years related supervisory experience and/or training.
• Must be familiar with simple and complex electrical and mechanical tests, troubleshooting and repair practices for electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
• Certification with IPC610, 620, J_STD or other advanced solder training is highly preferred.
• Able to track and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with several simultaneous projects. Able to supervise and manage a small team to keep them on task and schedules
Able to follow and interpret complex schematic diagrams, assembly drawings and test specifications
• Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists in common. Able to develop logical troubleshooting techniques based on an understanding of the product performance and requirements.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, use of the internet and email, electronic testing equipment and software. Basic familiarity with PCB layout and ERP software
