Elite Opportunity for A&D Sales Professional in Premium Surfaces Industry

Our client is seeking an exceptional Senior Sales Representative to develop their architectural and design specification business across the NYC metropolitan area.
About the Role
As the Senior A&D Sales Representative, you'll serve as the face of a premier surfaces company to the architectural and design community throughout Manhattan and surrounding boroughs. You'll have the opportunity to pioneer the A&D strategy in one of the nation's most vibrant design markets while leveraging the resources of an established industry leader.

Having expanded to over $2.5 billion in annual revenue with showrooms nationwide, they're now focusing on strengthening their presence in the architectural and design community.
Their extensive product portfolio gives you a competitive advantage in the marketplace, with pricing that's typically 30-50% below competitors. Their entrepreneurial culture encourages innovation and rewards initiative, making this an ideal environment for self-starters who want to make their mark.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional who understands the commercial A&D community and can navigate the specification process with confidence. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to build a program essentially from the ground up.
Most importantly, you'll bring a consultative approach to sales, with the ability to position premium surface materials as solutions for architects and designers looking to elevate their projects.
Location: NYC Metro Area (Edison, NJ base with territory throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens)
Travel: Regular travel throughout territory
Schedule: Monday-Friday business hours with flexibility

- Cultivate and expand relationships with architectural firms, design studios, and commercial specifiers
- Pioneer specification sales strategies targeting major commercial projects
- Track projects from initial specification through completion, ensuring successful execution
- Analyze market trends and competitive activities to identify new opportunities
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure flawless delivery of specified products
- Represent the company at local industry events and design community functions
- Develop strategic approaches to penetrate new market segments
- Build the foundation for future team expansion as the territory grows
- Established connections in the NYC architectural and design community
- Proven track record selling to commercial A&D clients
- Experience with specification-driven sales processes
- Knowledge of surface materials (tile, stone, quartz, etc.) preferred
- Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct effective product demonstrations
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently
- Resilience and determination to build business from the ground up
- Excellent follow-through and project tracking abilities
- Ability to travel throughout the NYC metro area regularly
