Job Description
Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Gardena, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $92,000 - $135,000+ DOEÂ + 5% annual bonus
Direct Reports: None
Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
This location is an ITAR facility

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with 10+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace/Defense experience is a plus but not required. Heavy cost accounting experience is essential.  We are seeking a career-driven individual motivated for career growth who can take ownership of the Senior Accountant role, This position will be the right hand support to the site controller. Â

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and validate monthly Gross Profit reports and General Ledger inputs, including Direct Labor (DL), Material, Burden, Scrap, etc.
- Review overtime spending trends and DL staffing levels.
- Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan for the business unit.
- Reconcile financial data, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Manage general accounting activities such as sales, bookings, backlog, and fixed assets.
- Maintain effective controls over inventory and COGS.
- Handle monthly inventory reporting and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Oversee the annual physical inventory count.
- Conduct internal audits of SOX policies and procedures.
- Support timekeeping, payroll, and financial data for internal and external audits.
- Expertise in cost accounting and general accounting principles.
- Experience in manufacturing accounting (aerospace/defense background preferred).
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced level preferred) and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.
- SQL database experience is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CPA preferred but not required.
