Job Description
Senior Project Tax Accountant - Irvine
Join a global company that owns, develops, and manages industrial real estate, including logistics facilities, warehouses, retail outlets, business parks, and data centers.
Job Summary:
Handle various accounting, tax, and treasury functions for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned books and records.
- Oversee tax matters, including depreciation, cost allocation, tax provision, and coordination with CPA firms.
- Perform monthly closings, prepare financial statements, and report P&L variances.
- Prepare monthly management and development reports for corporate office and investors.
- Manage capital plans, cash requirements, and CAM reconciliations.
- Forecast project job costs and work with senior management on cash flow reporting.
- Assist with debt analysis, capitalized interest, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support year-end audits, tax returns, and REIT compliance.
- Participate in special projects to enhance accounting systems and reporting.
- Interface with international corporate finance and senior management teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
- Proficient in Yardi, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, TM1).
- 3+ years of public accounting or real estate experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS for real estate accounting.
- Accounting degree required; CPA/MBA is a plus.
